'The Science of Performance Learning'

Education Lecture and Breakfast with Professor Stephen Heppell

Friday 9th December 2016

09.00am - 12.00pm

At the South Kensington Club

"When you are audacious with the learning you provide, the students are astonishing with the learning they do."

Please join the London Parents Forum for a morning of fascinating discussion over a light breakfast with great thinker and educationalist, Professor Stephen Heppell.

In a career spanning over three decades, Stephen has championed the creative use of the internet for learning and has pioneered 'classrooms of tomorrow', which challenge the way we use our environment to learn. He calls for us to disrupt 'formal learning' with 'informal collaboration' and to see each other as a source of information and debate.

Recently, Stephen has been working with universities to develop buildings and learning environments that are relevant to the 21st century learner. He will share with us his insights into his findings. Every detail matters and the best schools will also utilise this science of learning. For example, Maths performance can be optimised in an environment between 17-21°c and standardised tests show that a room any warmer or colder results in Bs rather than As.

Tickets are £45 and include breakfast.
